Monthly Flash Contest

Contest Details

The Monthly Flash Contest is published in the Stone Soup newsletter the first Saturday of the month. You have one week to complete the contest. Your submission is due by 11:59 PM Pacific time the following Sunday. Please look up your time zone in relation to PT to ensure your submission is considered. The winners are posted the following month. 

Length Limit: 500 words 

Age Limit:  Age 18 and under.

Deadline:  11:59 PM Pacific time the Sunday following the contest announcement

Results:  Up to 5 Winners and 5 Honorable Mentions will be announced the following month

Publication: The winning works will be published on the Stone Soup's website and social media; and announced each week in our Saturday Newsletter.
